The release of Cyberpunk 2077 has been postponed again. The developers CD Projekt Red have now announced this. When will Cyberpunk 2077 be released? Not in November anymore. According to the developer, the Cyberpunk RPG will now be released on October 10th. So it is a delay of 21 days. This is the third shift in the release date. At the beginning of 2020, the CD project Red Cyberpunk 2077 was postponed to mid-September, after which the delay took place in mid-November. And now it is clear that it will take even longer.
Corona is causing a shift
Developers write: CD Project Red is named as the biggest challenge that Cyberpunk 2077 has to test in nine different versions. These include the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. But Google Stadia, the computer and old consoles also have trial versions. All of this has to be done from the home office and therefore causes delays. The developers write: "It might sound strange for someone to say that 21 days makes a difference in such a large and complex game, but it really can."
Developers recently announced that the game has reached "gold" status. This means it's done and the content is complete. However, there is now a delay. CD Project Red says, "But that doesn't mean we stop working on it and increasing its quality." The time it takes for these improvements cannot be calculated, the developers say.
