Keanu Reeves aka Johnny Silverhand never tires of promoting Cyberpunk 2077 in TV commercials. Hardly surprising that the marketing machinery is running hot, because the action role-playing game will be released on December 10th for consoles and PC. The version for the latter platform can already be downloaded as a preload via Steam and GOG.
The preloads for Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red have gone live for pre-orderers. For Steam, GOG and the Epic Store, the client can already be downloaded so that you can get started on December 10th. And not only that: A fan even discovered an Easter egg.
Johnny says, "It's not December 10th!"
The first early reviews of Cyberpunk 2077 are rolling in, promising the terrific role-playing game fans have come to expect - albeit not perfect gameplay. At least the PC version can already be downloaded and installed and it comes with an Easter egg. As a Reddit user discovered, when the game is installed, an executable file or a picture becomes available: You can see none other than Keanu Reeves or his virtual cyberpunk alter ego Johnny Silverhand.
“Go back to sleep, samurai. It's not December 10th! ”Reads a dialogue. That means: Starting the game only works with the release. However, it is only a few days away.
As already mentioned several times (better safe than sorry) Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on December 10th for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. The role-playing game will be on Xbox Series X | S and Playstation 5 should be playable at launch, although full upgrades for the new platforms are not planned for next year.
A multiplayer mode will also come for Cyberpunk 2077, but this is more of an independent game than a mod and is being developed by its own small team. The concept is reminiscent of games like Grand Theft Auto Online, so it will probably also contain microtransactions.
