The action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 is about to be released, which has been a long time coming. As if that weren't enough reason for the waiting video players to be happy, the Polish development studio CD Projekt Red announced a launch party on Twitter on. CyberNight is to take place on the night of December 9th to 10th. At the same time, players who already hold the video game in their hands were warned: They shouldn't spoil!
According to a tweet from CD Projekt Red, the Cyberpunk 2077 launch party on Twitter will begin on December 9th at 00:00 UTC + 1. According to the official announcement of the party, CyberNight should offer its viewers a colorful mix of developer questions and answers, surprises and a few other highlights. In order to realize the online launch party, the developer studio is working with Twitter Gaming on its implementation. The teaser trailer for the party is intended to show the recognition of the Polish games studio CD Projekt Red to the fans of Cyberpunk 2077, who have been looking forward to the role-playing game for eight years.

Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced in 2012. A first teaser trailer followed in 2013 and in 2018, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo "E3", another teaser and a first playable gameplay demo. Initially still a media exclusive, CD Projekt Red released the demo in the same year for fans of the role-playing game via Twitch. Earlier this year, a commercial showing Hollywood star Keanu Reeves as part of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe caused quite a stir. Since then, fans around the world have been eagerly awaiting the release of the video game on December 10th. Except for those players who ordered their Cyberpunk 2077 from the American retailer Best Buy. Because they already have the Collector's Edition of the role-playing game today, Thursday, December 3rd.
CD Projekt Red explicitly asked the lucky players not to spoil the waiting gamers so that the special magic of the launch party would not be destroyed. Despite the request, several photos of Cyberpunk 2077 have already come into circulation. Now the developer has announced that he will actively take action against the premature livestreams and Let's Plays.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for PC, Google Stadia and the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. The role-playing game can also be played on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 via backwards compatibility. The actual versions for the next-gen consoles are to follow in 2021. A multiplayer version is planned for 2022. However, CD Projekt Red is planning this as a standalone spin-off, similar to the online modes. GTA or Red Dead Redemption 2, and not as an additional mode for single player play. The multi-player part is therefore also being developed by a dedicated team and will contain microtransactions.
