With the family game Waffle Time and the children's game Stacking Salad, Pegasus Spiele Two playful treats in the fall. Good planning and skill are the secret recipes for victory.
Waffle Time is all about making the tastiest waffle in eight moves. The aim is to arrange fruit and cream pieces on your waffle board in a way that scores as many points as possible. To collect the desired topping, place your color marker in a free space on the selection board.
The topping shown on the next two selection tiles in the same row can be placed on any adjacent space on your own waffle. Those who meet the requirements on the three sample cards randomly revealed at the start of the game receive drops of syrup that can be used to refine the waffles and collect points. Players also receive points for completing tasks on goal cards. Those who are quick and complete a goal first receive a valuable butter tile, which is also included in the points score.
In Maxime Demeyere's family game, up to four players aged eight and over can become master bakers and top their waffles in solo mode. Waffle Time will be available from October at a recommended retail price of 34,99 euros.

New children's board game: Stapelsalat
The children's game Stacking Salad also invites players to the table. But here you need to keep a steady hand, because arranging the food on the plate is a real balancing act. Up to five players aged five and over choose a food item from a buffet per round and place it on their plate. The plate is a bit wobbly and not particularly big, so the ingredients soon have to be stacked on top of each other.
When choosing ingredients, you should also pay attention to how many points a particular food item will bring you. If an ingredient falls off the plate, the three-second rule applies: if you are quick enough, you can put it back on the plate. If several ingredients fall off, half of them go in the trash, i.e. the game box. If you fill the plate particularly full and stack the highest salad, you have the chance to get extra points for the final score, but you are also taking a big risk.
In addition to the standard mode, Daryl Chow's skill game also offers a solo and a cooperative mode, as well as guest cards with objectives for older children and professionals. Stapelsalat is available for a recommended retail price of 24,99 euros.
