Young people between the ages of 22 and 13 have until July 16nd to submit a creative contribution to the topic of games and game culture for the nationwide "GamesTalente" competition. The joint project by Bildungs & Talent and the Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur combines talent promotion and digital games in an innovative competition and academy format.
The aim of the “GamesTalente” youth competition is to promote individual strengths and interests, social skills and cognitive skills, as well as creative thinking and digital key skills. The nationwide project was started jointly by the Talent Promotion Center Education & Talent and the Digital Game Culture Foundation.
Winners develop their own game together
Young people between the ages of 13 and 16 can apply for the program with a creative contribution on the subject of games and game culture until July 22nd: for example with a game idea, character design, a story sketch or a cosplay outfit.
A jury made up of experts from the games industry, media education and talent development will decide on the best entries. Both the quality of the contributions and the development potential of the young people play a role in the assessment.
The youngsters of the 50 best submissions will take part in the GamesTalente academy during the 2019 autumn vacation from October 12th to 19th. Here they work together on their own digital game and contribute their individual skills. They are supported by game developers and educational specialists.
The conditions of participation for "GamesTalente" as well as information for parents and legal guardians can also be found at: www.gamestalente.de.
