Return to Jamaica
In the stylish ambience of the "GoldenEye", the house in Jamaica where Ian Fleming invented the famous character in 1952, the producers announced the date for the start of filming. "Bond 25" will then be released in cinemas internationally on April 3, 2020, while the anniversary film will only be released in the USA on April 8, 2020. Even if the information comes directly from there, "GoldenEye" is not used as a location for the shoot.
Director Cary Joji Fukunaga has confirmed returning actors Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright and also introduced the newcomers: Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.
Few details are known about the story itself. James Bond has retired from active service and is enjoying a quiet life in Jamaica. At least until his friend and CIA agent Felix Leiter asks for help. The simple mission: rescue a kidnapped scientist. The undertaking then turns out to be more difficult than expected - and leads James Bond onto the battlefield against a mysterious opponent who will fight with a technologically innovative weapon.
The 25th Bond will be filmed at Pinewood Studios, London, Italy, Norway and Jamaica.
