Thanks to a collaboration with Maestro Media, the German board game adaptation of the acclaimed video game The Binding of Isaac has been released today by Pegasus Spiele. In addition to the base game, The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, the Ultimate Collector's Box is now available, which also contains the expansions Four Souls+ as well as Requiem and additional materials.
Since the Kickstarter campaign for the board game implementation of the successful indie video game The Binding of Isaac was successfully financed with over 2018 million US dollars in summer 2,5, game fans in this country have been looking forward to the German version of the card game. This has now appeared thanks to the cooperation between Pegasus Games and Maestro Media.
For the first time, those interested can see the novelty at SPIEL DOCH! in Dortmund from April 28th to 30th at the Pegasus Games Stand E.33.
Ultimate box!
In addition to the base game, The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, the Ultimate Collector's Box is also available. The extra-large collection box contains not only the basic game with 340 cards, but also over 350 additional cards from the two expansions Four Souls+ and Requiem as well as additional materials such as dice, a coin bag and tiles. The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem expansion was also funded via a Kickstarter campaign with over $6,7 million from more than 47.000 backers, making it the seventh most funded Kickstarter board game when it was released.

In the multiplayer card game of the world-famous indie game designer Edmund McMillen (Super Meat Boy, The End is Nigh, The Legend of Bum-bo), who also developed the video game together with Florian Himsl, the players fight their way through one Dungeon full of monsters. They embody either the baby Isaac, who flees from his mother, who was instigated by God to murder, or another biblical character.
Each turn, they accumulate treasure, play loot cards, or use their items to slay monsters. In return, they receive loot and sometimes even souls. The first person to end their turn with four souls wins the game. Barter, cooperation and sometimes even betrayal are expressly desired in the iconic card game. With hundreds of maps, each game is different and always poses new challenges.
