Betrayal at House on the Hill returns for a third edition about Avalon Hill. Hasbro has taken on the strategic role-play board game and comprehensively revised the German version. However, the setting remains unchanged: the troupe is still drawn to the creepy old villa on the hill in the city.
The house on the hill still stands abandoned and a group of fearless adventurers are lured inside to
to explore the dark secrets of the house. Here the players take on the role of one of these adventurers and can immerse themselves in the captivating story. Betrayal at House on the Hill 3rd Edition is a cooperative board game and features 50 fiendish scenarios and dozens of hazard-filled rooms. At the beginning all players pull together, but as the game progresses one person will betray the others and the spook will begin.
Betrayal at House on the Hill: Lots of new content
The remastered version takes its players on a spooky adventure with unpredictable events. In the story-driven strategy game, players take on the role of adventurers and investigate a spooky old mansion, in whose rooms they encounter numerous dangers just waiting to scare them. The third edition of Betrayal at House on the Hill offers its fans revised graphics and additional features, including twelve new, never-before-seen characters, maps with exciting omens, items and events, and 50 haunted scenarios, each of which tells a different story.
Incidentally, the name says it all and the highlight of the board game at the same time: It's about betrayal in the haunted house. An initially cooperative gaming experience changes over the course of the game.
Tile by tile, room by room, players build a cursed mansion and try to escape alive. They explore the rooms without knowing what they have in store for them. House surprises affect the alignment of adventurers for either good or bad. The players must pull together to survive the nightmare. But beware, at a random point in the game, an adventurer triggers a scenario, a so-called spook, which turns you into a traitor and from then on fights against your fellow players. The initially cooperative role-playing game suddenly changes into a competitive strategy game.
With content and game elements, new players can immediately immerse themselves in the story experience. It's about fear, terror and betrayal and of course a spooky game night with monsters, miniatures and modular game pieces. The board game is aimed at three to six players aged 12 and over and is already commercially available.
