Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will be the next offshoot of Ubisoft's assassination series, which has changed tremendously over the years. After a reveal event, during which the subject of the successor to Assassin's Creed: Odyssey was revealed and the publication of a first trailer, the French publisher had already dated the release period: the game should appear sometime in winter. Now a leak could have given away the release date.

Ubisoft itself had confirmed that the release of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is planned for the current year. The development is so advanced that the French publisher in Microsoft's new Xbox format 20/20 could even show some kind of "gameplay". Now the exact date of publication could have become known accidentally. A date has appeared on the Italian Amazon website that spreads joy among fans.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla relies on Viking action

One user had via the platform Reddit pointed out that the Italian website of the Amazon shop indicated October 15, 2020 as the publication date. In the meantime, Amazon has reacted and adjusted the product description. The now specified December 31st is a typical placeholder that should say "Release later this year".

Although October 15 is speculative so far, October makes sense for the release of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Earlier parts of the series were launched in bulk in October – the only exceptions in the main line of the series were Unity and Rogue. Because it is known that "Valhalla" will appear for both next-gen consoles and current-gen, the release could well be phased. The version for the current generation of consoles could be released in October, and the next-gen versions with the release of the next-gen consoles Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. This trick would also be understandable from a marketing point of view.

There was a rumor on Reddit that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla would be released in October. A retailer named October 16th, the day after the date mentioned on the Italian Amazon website. This day is also quite realistic, because Assassin's Creed offshoots appeared several times on a Friday.

Because Ubisoft has not yet announced an official date, any information about a release date is so far pure speculation. Ubisoft may be using the July digital show held instead of E3 to let fans know the exact date.

Assassin' Creed: Valhalla is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. All important information about Assassin's Creed Valhalla is there here .
