Arena shooter Splitgate remains online

1047 Games announced today that the upcoming update for Splitgate will be the last major iteration as the development team moves on to their next project, a shooter set in the Splitgate universe.

Splitgate will officially exit beta on September 15th when the next season will launch, which includes a new free Battle Pass with an infinite number of levels featuring new characters, skins and more.

Splitgate: Community means everything

Splitgate was originally released for PC in 2019, with the beta versions for Xbox and PlayStation following in 2021. With more than 18 million downloads, Splitgate is one of the most successful online games in recent years. Its arena shooter mechanics combined with a playful, physics-based game design created an entirely new and immersive shooter genre that resonated with fans around the world.

1047 Games has and will continue to recruit some of the industry's top talent as the studio turns its attention to a fresh new Splitgate project being built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5.

The weekly playlists in Splitgate will also continue. Fans can also look forward to more item drops. While feature development is complete, Splitgate and its community will continue to be supported to provide fans with the same great experience they have come to love.
