Animal Crossing: New Horizons will get an update on Thursday. In addition to new features, it includes a total of four seasonal events, which extend in stages from the end of April to the end of June: Among other things, Nintendo is declaring Nature Day and officially heralding the wedding season in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting new seasonal events
Nintendo has good news for all Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans: new content is coming, and quite a few of it. Two new characters in particular are exciting: Gerd with his traveling nursery and Reiner with his treasure cutter. While the former visits the island regularly to bring his range of plants and shrubs to the residents, Reiner and his treasure cutter ensure that art finally finds its way into the game. The nippy trader sells works of art and furniture in unique colors.

This is how the mechanics around the “fake works of art” find their way into the game. e as well as furniture in unique colors that cannot be purchased in Nook's shop. As in previous titles in the Animal Crossing series, it's all about figuring out which pieces of art are real and which are fake. Anyone who has bought a real work can then donate it to the island museum. Over time, a gallery is created that exhibits various works of art, from paintings to sculptures.
In addition to the two characters, several seasonal events come into play, each of which is limited in time. This is particularly fitting because Animal Crossing changes with the seasons anyway - spring fever is currently in fashion.
Nature day begins on Thursday, April 23rd. The event will then run until May 4th. There will be special assignments for players to earn Nook Miles. Everything revolves around the green thumb: For example, trees have to be planted or flowers have to be watered.
The day of nature then partially overlaps with the May celebration. In the first week of May - from May 1st to May 7th - players can use a May celebration ticket once. From the island's airport, they take an excursion to an island that looks very different from the ones you get to know on the usual island tours. Particularly exciting: players may even meet a special visitor - someone they may be familiar with.
The International Museum Day will move into the Life-Sim from May 18th to 31st. The focus is then on a special event in the museum: As soon as players have received a stamp card, they can look at fish, insects and fossils in the museum and collect stamps that match the respective exhibits. This can then be used to unlock rewards.
