The life sim Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released for Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020. In a new spot, Nintendo shows some residents in action. There is not much gameplay to be seen in the short video, but Tom Nook sets the future residents in the mood for their abandoned island as a new home.

Nintendo does not give a deep look at the gameplay in the new video spot for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but it does contain a few short sequences that show the islanders in action, such as handling an ax.
Players have to collect resources in the Life-Sim, including chopping wood, planting flowers or catching insects, but also discovering archaeological finds and exploring the island world. In this way, new residents join the island community over and over again as the game progresses.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will offer a multiplayer mode: locally for up to four players, online for up to eight.
