Next year, AMIGO Spiel + Freizeit GmbH will celebrate its 45th anniversary. Uwe Pauli was the sole managing director of the company for over 30 years. With a shareholder resolution dated December 31st, two additional managing directors were appointed: As of January 1st, 2024, the AMIGO management team was expanded to include the previous authorized representatives of the publishing house, Joachim Ulbrich and Alexander Jost.
Putting the company on a secure footing and preparing it for the future – that has always been particularly important to managing director Uwe Pauli. AMIGO should still remain “nimble” and be able to make short-term decisions in order to be able to adapt to the fast-moving market at any time.
For this reason, Uwe Pauli had formed a decision-making committee years ago, consisting of the heads of sales, purchasing, controlling and marketing, which not only manages the publisher's day-to-day business but can also make strategic decisions.
“The next logical step was to expand the AMIGO management team in order to position the company in a future-oriented and secure manner,” explains Uwe Pauli, who has largely withdrawn from day-to-day business in recent years.
In this context, Joachim Ulbrich and Alexander Jost were appointed managing directors of AMIGO Spiel + Freizeit GmbH on January 1, 2024. This means that your power of attorney automatically expires. However, this realignment of management does not have any further structural effects. “The same people are still sitting in the same places,” promises Uwe Pauli.
Joachim Ulbrich has worked for AMIGO Spiel + Freizeit GmbH since 1989. In addition to his tasks on the committee, he heads the purchasing department at AMIGO. Joachim Ulbrich has been the GmbH's authorized representative since 2002.
Alexander Jost will celebrate 2024 years with the company in 20. He heads the controlling department at AMIGO, is part of the decision-making committee and has also been the company's authorized representative since 2012.
