Age of Wonders 4: popular strategy game series returns

Paradox Interactive today announces the release of a new game from Triumph Studios: Age of Wonders 4. The first installment in the award-winning Age of Wonders fantasy strategy game series in nine years, it brings new levels of customization and replayability to the quintessential empire, role-playing, and... the top-notch tactical battles of the series. Age of Wonders 4 will be released on May 2nd, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Age of Wonders 4 invites players to rule a fantasy realm in their own style, in a mix of strategy, role-playing and turn-based combat. Players must rise to challenge this dominion, using Tomes of Magic to unleash arcane destruction, evolve their armies, and gain new abilities and forms. For the first time in the franchise, players can create their own custom factions and leave their mark on countless worlds with every choice they make.

Empire-building from the wildest dreams: Players shape their own following by combining body types, social traits and arcane powers. They can create anything from a cannibal halfling clan to mystical moon elves, or recreate their favorite fantasy character. Players seek out powerful spell books to magically influence their armies, while watching their own people adapt physically as they transform into angelic beings or descendants of Chaos to face their enemies.

Strategy meets RPG like never before: every decision opens up new possibilities and tactical advantages; deep multi-layered strategies allow you to try new tactics or discover new powers in each round. Tactical turn-based battles bring the armies to life, from skirmishes with roaming monsters to massive sieges with many units on each side!

Write Your Own Legend: A new event system brings unprecedented storytelling possibilities to 4X games.
