More than 15 years ago Age of Empires 3 appeared, the direct predecessor to the fourth part that Microsoft is currently developing. The studios World's Edge and Relic Entertainment are responsible for this and seem to be making good progress. At least that was confirmed at the beginning of the year, when studio head Shannon Loftis announced that the strategy game was making "great progress". It is in playable condition.
