Assassin's Creed Valhalla starts the Christmas season with the Jul season. For fans of the Viking adventure, the Yule Festival not only brings a Christmassy atmosphere, but also new story content until January 7th. Finally, from February 2021, another update to Assassin's Creed will introduce a new game mode:

The Jul season is the first season of the new Assassin's Creed offshoot Valhalla. Players can now access the new content and experience new narrative threads or try their hand at in-game events. The Jul-Fest for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available free of charge to all owners of the title. The dedication of the fans is rewarded: there are rewards to be found.

Just Dance 2021 with a new, two-part season

The new seasons for Assassin's Creed Valhalla enrich that brutal action adventure with a Viking setting after the recent launch throughout 2021. A variety of new free content will be released for all players over the coming months, focusing on gameplay and the development of the game world. The updates will be rolled out at different times during the season.

The Jul season invites the players to the Yule Festival. The new in-game event takes place in a special area of the settlement and can be discovered until January 7th.

During Jul Fest, fans can join the celebrations with a new drinking game, an archery mini-game, a fistfighting tournament, and two new character quests. Exclusive rewards await for this, including a new equipment set and settlement decorations.

Basically, the Jul-Fest can be unlocked quickly: To participate, you have to reach England and have completed one of the first narrative strands, either Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire. The festival will then be triggered automatically when players visit their settlement.

A second update in February will enrich the Jul season with additional content:

  • River Raids: Based on Valhalla's core looting mechanics, this mode offers a dynamic and challenging experience with high replayability. Since the river raids depend heavily on the Jomsviking recruits, players can recruit Jomsviking from their friends online to take on an entire crew. The River Raids game mode offers raids with higher stakes and different levels of difficulty.
  • Ranks of the Joms Vikings: In Season 1, an update to the Jomswikinger feature will be released, allowing players to achieve XP and a higher rank - the higher the rank of lieutenant, the more silver players can earn when they are recruited by other players.
  • More new skills and rewards.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, XboxOne, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, as well as Stadia, Amazon Luna and Ubisoft's subscription service, Ubisoft +.

By the way: Ubisoft is generous with the approaching Christmas party. The real Ravensthorpe also celebrates the launch of Season 1 with Lord of the Manor, Charlie Reeve, and opens the week-long Valhalliday. Until December 24th, the local Checkers Pub and Village Shop in the center of the village will serve guests an Assassin's Creed Valhalla-themed takeaway menu. Ubisoft will then donate US $ 5.000 to support the Ravensthorpe Playground Project and other community projects.
