For over three years, the Austrian studio Fire Totem Games has been developing a crawling sandbox adventure game. The studio began as a solo developer and has now grown to six people. On May 19th they will release their first “big” game on Steam.
Head over tasks
The new video game is titled ‘A Webbing Journey' and you slip into the role of the little spider Silky. Silky wants to help her favorite people. Everyday tasks like baking cookies, washing dishes, and watering plants need to be done. You'll accomplish all this with cobwebs and acrobatics.
According to developers Fire Totem Games is it [called "The only game where cleaning is actually fun." And you can certainly believe the creative minds. Because how you solve these tasks is entirely up to you.
Explore worlds
Then there's the other part of A Webbing Journey: free exploration and discovery. If you don't want to complete quests, you can also let off steam in this sandbox title. Countless hidden secrets await you, waiting to be discovered. There's also plenty to discover upside down, or you can simply build a huge spider web of your own design.
Release on May 19
After numerous awards and countless short videos on social media with a total of 200.000 followers on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, A Webbing Journey will be screened on May 19, 2025 as part of the “Little Critters Festivals“ released on Steam.
