Do it again, Reiner! With over 400 published games, Reiner Knizia is not only one of the most hard-working, but also one of the most successful game designers in Germany - and even in the world. His mathematics studies seem to be the perfect background for the conception of near-perfect games. And before I praise him to the skies here, I'd rather go back to his wonderful family game with the sonorous name "Mmm!".

What is it about?

The dice juggling of the concentrated looking mouse on the game cover already suggests: Bei Mmmm! from the house Pegasus Spiele the luck factor is always present. I mean that in an absolutely positive way, because luck usually makes board games exciting, sometimes unpredictable and ensures one twist or another. Children in particular are welcome Mmmm! so have fun when the adults "discard" a move they thought was safe. At the family game Mmmm! everything revolves around the classic duel between cat and mouse - in this case the duel between a cat and 2 to 4 mice from 5 to 7 years of age.

Thanks to the enclosed rule for children, even the youngest cheese lovers can have a lot of fun with them Mmmm! to have. Here Reiner Knizia once again proves his luck with the game concept and turns one game into two - an understandable children's game and an exciting family game at the same time. The mice want the cheese, the cats want the mice. Sounds simple - it is too. You can only win the game if the mice work well together. at Mmmm! it's about solidarity and uncompromising cooperation. This is great for casual gamers who can be taken by the hand by experienced board players and guided through the game. You have to collect 5 dishes to win the game. So: collect all the delicacies you can get and beware of the cat!

The illustrations are wonderful. All pictures are lovingly designed; you can see that in Mmmm! there is a lot of work involved. Next to one Schedule you find 56 mouse chips, 1 nasty wooden cat, 2 instructions and 3 of those already mentioned Dice in the game box. It doesn't take more to experience a fast-paced game of cat and mouse. Unpack and get started!

Conclusion

It actually takes in the board game test of Mmmm! not many words to describe the quality of this family game. Mmmm! is great for children who are challenged and encouraged in cooperative play concepts. The high pace of the game ensures fun, never boring, but always exciting games. At the children's board game Mmmm! there are actually no real losers: Either everyone wins the game together or everyone loses together, but then gains new motivation for a better game strategy in the future. As a family game is Mmmm! therefore particularly valuable. As a breeze, it's wonderful. And for a pure adult group it is at least entertaining and always worthwhile for a little round.
