At gamescom 2025, players will have the chance to try out the brand-new housing system for the first time. Player housing is one of the most eagerly anticipated features for World of Warcraft. It allows players to build, decorate, and customize their own homes in Azeroth.
But not only players’ accommodations are celebrating on the gamescom 2025. Our celebration of the Midnight expansion begins with a world premiere of the opening sequence during Opening Night Live on August 19. The show starts at 20:00 PM CEST on the official social media channels of the gamescom and The Game Awards.
Immediately following Opening Night Live, the reveal of the new expansion, "Midnight," will take place on the World of Warcraft YouTube and Twitch channels. WoW Executive Producer Holly Longdale, Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, and Warcraft Universe Creative Director Chris Metzen will provide an exclusive look at the zones, mechanics, new features, and storyline of the upcoming expansion.
With its packed program on the WoW community stage, the gamescom 2025, a true World of Warcraft celebration.
