With The Chronicles of Drunagor - Age of Darkness written by Daniel Alves and Eurico Cunha Neto, the release list has now grown to include an action-packed dungeon crawler in a dark fantasy setting.
Adventure in the 3D dungeon
In it, one to five experienced players aged twelve and over take on the roles of different heroines and heroes with different abilities and fight their way through a three-dimensional dungeon with numerous rooms full of monsters. They try to escape the dangerous darkness that continues to spread. The campaign's 17 individual scenarios, each of which can be played in around 25-125 minutes, create an immersive story on the continent of Daren. Numerous variance options offer a high level of replay appeal and the 3D playing field is not only a visual highlight, but also has a playful effect. The 32 detailed miniatures – in the base game alone – reinforce the immersive feeling of the game.
In The Chronicles of Drunagor - Age of Darkness, players compete cooperatively against the game. The initiative bar determines whether a monster or ae heroIt's our turn, or whether the darkness will continue to spread. This dark power not only strengthens the monsters, but can be a hero if they are allinside, also end the game. The heroinside move through the room and can then activate their own abilities for combat and defense by inserting small wooden cubes. In order to get these dice back, you have to rest. Every time you take a rest, you also have to take a curse die, which permanently blocks an ability. In addition, if you have too many curse dice, the game is lost.
When the players have fought their way through the room and open the door, it determines the structure of the next room. In addition, a QR code provides access to alternative setup options, especially for repeats of the campaign. This variance as well as the different monsters and different heroes, who can also take on different roles and classes, ensure a high replay value.
Four expansions expand the dark story and provide bonuses. The Undead Dragon and The Desert of Scars pick up at the end of the base game, while Admiral Luccanor's Doom and The Shadow World play side missions in the middle of the main story and can be inserted in between at will. The four expansions, like the recently released fifth expansion, New Heroes & New Monsters, introduce new heroes and monsters and thus offer even more gameplay variety.
