Starfield: Player numbers reach new milestone

Bethesda has landed a hit with Starfield, even though not everyone can relate to the space role-playing game. Starfield's player numbers show that the start was a rocket. 

Starfield is not a perfect game, but it is also not the failure that some games platforms communicate in their rating reports. Somewhere in between, but in the upper third of a rating scale, Bethesda's game can be located around a completely new IP. Because: You can experience entertaining adventures for countless hours. Many game fans have obviously now convinced themselves of this.

Starfield: number of players at ten million

At the beginning of the month, Bethesda released Starfield and had the expected rocket start: with over six million players, the title represents the development studio's largest launch to date. On release day, over a million fans played Starfield simultaneously across all platforms. The success continues: Bethesda Game Studios have now announced via Twitter (“X”) that they have now exceeded the ten million player mark.

Part of the success is Microsoft's Game Pass for Xbox. Starfield can be played here at no additional cost, which is likely to have significantly increased the number of active players. What is also impressive is the fact that Starfield alone caused Xbox console sales to skyrocket. The new Bethesda role-playing game meets expectations, although not all of them.

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
