Rebellion, one of the world's most successful independent video game developers and publishers, today announces Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior, a new game for Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro.
The title takes players behind enemy lines and offers them the ultimate World War II sniper experience. Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior will be released on Thursday, November 30th in the Meta Quest Store at a price of 14,99 euros.
In Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior, developed in collaboration with Just Add Water, players take on the role of Partisan, a former Italian resistance soldier who relives his memories of the Nazis' expulsion from his homeland. The game features a full story-driven campaign in which players uncover Nazi “wonder weapons” that must be destroyed along with those behind them.
In addition to the campaign, there are also two new game modes: “Sniper Hunt” and “Last Stand”. “Sniper Hunt” is an exciting game of cat and mouse against experienced Nazi snipers. The aim is to eliminate a patrol of enemy soldiers in order to lure out the sniper, retreat, collect ammunition and prepare for the next enemy. In “Last Stand” players must prevail against waves of enemies. You must think and act quickly to collect weapons, ammunition and set traps before fighting for survival against the advancing troops.
The immersion that virtual reality provides helps to significantly improve gunplay and handling across all game modes: players hold the sniper rifle with both hands and bring the scope to their eye to prepare for the perfect shot.
