Publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment (the powerhouse of the hit game Monster Train) and the development teams at LEAP Game Studios and Tiny Ghoul have announced that Dicefolk - a game that combines tactical roguelike elements with the modern and popular system of monster collecting and one of the oldest and best-tested gaming device ever, the six-sided dice - will be released on Steam on February 27, 2024.
In combat, Dicefolk gives you significantly more control than you would expect from a dice game. Although the dice themselves are subject to a certain luck factor, you control not only the actions of your chimeras, but also of the opposing side. This gives the game more tactical depth - think carefully about the order in which you trigger the actions so that you can leave the field victorious at the end.
On your adventures as a chimera summoner, you will encounter dozens of powerful creatures that you can take into your ranks. Recruit your favorites, customize them with equipment to suit your playstyle, and use each Chimera's unique abilities to your own advantage. With over 100 creatures and items, the combinations and possibilities are almost endless.
