Only a few days left and survival adventure fans can add another game to their library with Pacific Drive. A surreal setting paired with a good portion of excitement could make the game a real indie gem. Especially since it is the first game from Ironwood Studios, the American indie developer based in Seattle. The demo for the game has been available to play for some time now and already offers a great insight into the game world of Pacific Drive.
Your own car as life insurance
For once, the main character of the game is not a person, but man's favorite means of transport: the car. With it, you set off on a journey through the spearhead zone "Olympic Exclusion Zone", which is full of dangers and mysterious anomalies. Since your own driving skills are at least as important as the resources you collect, you can ignore the speed limit for once. After all, this is a matter of life and death.
It is certainly in your interest to find out the "why". After all, it is not every day that you drive for your life and escape frightening weather phenomena that turn the already difficult to understand landscape into a threatening mixture of parkour and labyrinth. However, the remains of previous experiments do not bode well. So if you plan to get out of this crazy story alive, the motto "he who brakes, loses!" applies once again.
Wilbert Roget II helps with the soundtrack
The American composer, Wilbert Roget II, worked on the soundtrack for Pacific Drive in collaboration with Ironwood Studios. A total of 20 licensed songs are part of the game. In the past, Roget has composed songs for games such as Mortal Kombat 11 and Call of Duty: WWII, among others.
