A blurry picture of what appears to be a Nintendo Switch 2 controller has appeared on a Chinese website. Is this the first time we have any real, solid information?
Because Nintendo has not released any official information about the Switch 2, fans are eagerly jumping on every little rumor. This time, however, everything is a bit bigger, because apparently there is a photo that shows real parts of the Nintendo Switch 2. This information has not been officially confirmed either.
Proven controllers for the Nintendo Switch 2?
The consensus is that Nintendo will not attempt any major experiments with the Switch 2, but will instead concentrate on sensible improvements based on its predecessor. Fans should therefore not expect any real innovations. The photos that have now appeared on the Chinese website “Bilibili” confirm this assumption. Specifically, the alleged Joy-Cons of the Nintendo Switch 2.
You can't make out much in the blurry pictures, but what you can see is reminiscent of the well-known Joy-Cons of the original Nintendo Switch. The design is largely the same. One innovation could be on the back of the controller. The photos suggest that fans could find another control button there.

A leak from China of all places would not be unusual, as console production takes place there on a large scale. The question now is whether the shared photo is real. If so, it could also indicate that production of the Nintendo Switch 2 has started and that the console will possibly be available on the market at the start of 2025, as other rumors claim. Even if this time frame is not correct, ongoing production would be a favorable step for an early release.
Fans are still waiting for official information from Nintendo. The Japanese company says it plans to release the Nintendo Switch 2 announced.
