This week's Steam Next Fest will showcase some of the most exciting upcoming computer games, including Millennia, a new 4X empire-building game announced last summer by C Prompt Studios and Paradox Interactive.
Developed by experienced designers with extensive experience in the strategy genre, Millennia challenges players to build and expand an empire across 10.000 years of human history. This period is defined by ten distinct and dynamic ages, beginning with the Stone Age through the Bronze Age to the Iron Age - or perhaps the Age of Blood or the Age of Kings. Millennia emphasizes the dynamic progression of history - the player's actions and decisions influence the course of the next historical era, with each era presenting its own challenges and opportunities. Reminiscent of the golden era of strategy games, Millennia sets new standards for immersive and intellectually challenging gameplay.
Rulers must adapt to the changing times of history, as unique eras can turn the world as we know it upside down. Players choose the characteristics and characteristics of their society using the National Character and promote the productivity and growth of their cities through an internal trade system that becomes the engine of their empire.
In Millennia's Steam Next Fest demo, those interested can play the game's third age and select their first properties. Here, scouts roam the world as players form armies of archers and spear throwers to combat barbarian threats. At the same time, they build modest cities across the map, promoting food production, economic growth and general prosperity.
