Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox Publishing announce that Homeworld 3's new War Games mode is available in a demo on Steam and the Epic Games Store during the Next Fest event. From February 5th at 19 p.m. and until February 12th at 19 p.m., players worldwide can experience the innovative roguelike mode.
Homeworld 3's new War Games mode offers players a highly replayable RTS experience that expands the title beyond the campaign. War Games combines Homeworld's RTS gameplay with roguelike elements and can be played alone or in a group with up to three players. Players move their fleets through a series of three randomly selected combat challenges. Commanders who successfully manage their fleets and achieve these goals will be rewarded with artifacts that they can use to upgrade their ships. Gaining experience also unlocks additional artifacts and starting fleets.
War Games mode will continue to evolve post-launch with regular free content and optional premium content, including three paid DLC expansions in the Year One Pass.
