New mode: Race Replay
Race Replay is a brand new game mode that puts players at the heart of the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship, offering them two unique ways to rewrite the results of races throughout the season. In Starting Grid, players take control of a team of their choice in a full race that recreates the exact racing conditions and starting positions of a real Grand Prix, while Race Moments challenges fans to take the reins during a crucial moment in the middle of the race to achieve a specific goal before the checkered flag is waved.
After each exciting race of the 2023 season, new starting grid scenarios and racing moments will be added, challenging players to improve on the real-world results of the season. They will have to demonstrate all their abilities to change the course of real races.
Players looking to answer some of the biggest “what if” questions in Formula 1 can expand their experience with F1 Manager 2023: Deluxe Edition. This is available at a recommended retail price of 64,99 euros. In the Deluxe Edition, in addition to the base game, fans can test their skills in an additional 12 exclusive scenarios, consisting of starting grids and racing moments, while taking on hypothetical challenges.
Who would win if every car was the same? Can players rally from the back of the grid to claim victory in Raging Bull, or can they lead their drivers to success in the FORMULA 1 QATAR GRAND PRIX in Scorcher, when unexpected track conditions push track and tire temperatures into overdrive? Go extremes? With the Deluxe Edition, players can put these and other questions to the test.
Career mode returns
In the returning career mode, players are invited to delve deeper into team management in 2023. It is also important to avoid costly pit stop mistakes and improve pit stop times by having players train their pit crew with the help of the new Sporting Director staff member. Additionally, it will be crucial to explore extensive new upgrades on race weekends as players develop new components while carefully considering performance, weight and cost. F1 Manager 2023 also includes the complete driver and staff roster for 2023, with fully simulated F2 and F3 championships. This is where new talent is produced to replace stars as they get older or have poor racing results. As a result, the players are constantly faced with important decisions. Is it worth changing drivers immediately or does it make sense to look to the future by offering a driver a contract for next season and thus putting together a dream team for success?
Each race weekend, players must use their strategic decision-making skills to lead their drivers to success. They use the new system for driver confidence and tactics, the fluctuating track conditions and even individual tire temperatures to find out when and how hard to use their stars in the hunt for points. Getting to the top of the podium won't be easy, however, as rival teams will need to react better and strategize better to achieve victory in dramatic wheel-to-wheel racing. Knowing where the line lies between the perfect lap and the gravel trap or a cornering collision with a competitor is more important than ever.
Team principals will feel the thrill of every lap in a stunning broadcast recreation as drivers go wheel-to-wheel at six F1 sprint events and all 23 circuits, including the all-new Las Vegas Strip Circuit™. You will experience unsurpassed realism. For example, when the action unfolds from multiple cameras on the track and on board. The new visor camera also contributes to the immersion. Plus, players hear every command brought to life by an expanded pool of real F1 team radio messages. This year, key moments will once again be highlighted by returning commentary team David Croft and Karun Chandhok.
The first planned post-launch update for F1 Manager 2023 will arrive in early September and will allow players to expand their legacy in Career Mode by accepting a job offer from a rival team based on their performance. New scenarios for Race Replay mode will be released after every real race. F1 Manager 2023 will also be available physically for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a later date.
