It's been almost half a year since Microsoft snapped up Activision Blizzard for around 69 billion US dollars. As expected, many Xbox gamers have been asking themselves which Blizzard title would be the first to make it into the Game Pass. The recently released "Official Xbox Podcast", which was also attended by the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, has now answered the question. Diablo IV will be the first Activision Blizzard title in the Game Pass.
When will Diablo IV be released on Game Pass?
On March 28.03th, Diablo IV will be made available to all Game Pass holders. This applies to PC players as well as owners of the Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One. Various other Blizzard titles will also be available in the Game Pass in the future. However, Microsoft has not yet revealed which ones these will be.
What is clear, however, is that Game Pass subscribers will soon be able to look forward to a number of top-class games. Games like Call of Duty and Overwatch are already being hotly discussed and, to be honest, it is only a matter of time before games of this caliber can be downloaded from Game Pass.
Is there any other information?
In addition to new releases for the Game Pass, numerous other topics were also touched upon in the podcast. The topic of "exclusivity" in relation to game titles in particular takes up a large part of the podcast. According to Spencer, four exclusive titles will also be available on other platforms, such as the Playstation 5, in the near future. This is intended in particular to make the Game Pass more attractive to players on other platforms. Here, too, we can only speculate about the exact game titles.
According to Xbox President Sarah Bond, there are currently around 34 million gamers using Game Pass, an increase of around 36% when comparing the numbers to January 2022, when around 25 million gamers were subscribed to Game Pass.
