Starting at 19 p.m., Bungie will present the classic raid “Crota's End” from the original Destiny to all players in Destiny 2. Fireteams can once again compete against Crota, the son of the Taken King, who is waiting to be challenged in the Hellmouth on Earth's moon .
To accompany the start of the raid, Bungie is working with Twitch Rivals on the first race for World's First in Crota's End. Twitch Drops are activated and grant Raid Race viewers a unique badge when they watch Twitch Rivals or partner streamers for at least two hours.
Fireteams wishing to compete in the race for World's First should note the following:
- Competition mode runs for 48 hours.
- Guardians must have reached at least power level 1790 for all encounters.
- Completing the raid with Competitive Mode active lets the fireteam unlock Challenge Mode in the Navigator and awards the Superior Swordsmanship triumph - a select list of challenges that can only be completed in Challenge Mode.
- Completing the Superior Swordsmanship triumph is the prerequisite for a team to claim the World's First title.
- All six members of the winning fireteam will receive the World's First title belt.
- To reinforce the Triumph requirements in Challenge Mode, any fireteam that fails to meet the requirements during an encounter will be removed.
In case you missed it, the new season of Destiny 2, Season of the Witch, is available now. Working with Eris Morn, the Guardians attempt to revive Savathûn, who holds the key to the entrance to the portal opened by the Witness. Players will engage in Hive magic and participate in seasonal activities to collect cards for their Deck of Whispers, a new method of player progression in Season of the Witch.
Destiny 2: The final form, the culmination of the saga of light and darkness, was recently revealed and will be released on February 27, 2024. The final form takes the players on an expedition into the heart of the traveler, where they and their companions from the vanguard finally meet the witness. The time has almost come to gather all Guardians in a new destination called Pale Heart, master new super abilities and aspects, collect new weapon subfamilies, face a new enemy type, and more.
Pre-orders for Destiny 2: The Final Form are possible now. Anyone who pre-orders the Annual Pass version will immediately receive the Exotic Fusion Rifle “Area Shot”, the Exotic Gesture, the Exotic Spirit and the expansion badge. As an added incentive, players who complete Crota's End Competitive Mode and purchase the Bottomless Pit quest from the Raid Vendor within the first 48 hours will automatically complete the quest and receive all associated rewards, including the immediate purchase of the Necrochasm Exotic Auto Rifle .
