Although this is an early access game that is also free-to-play, Destiny's Divide runs surprisingly smoothly and offers fans of the online card game world the opportunity to compete against each other and collect rewards. The most important thing here is the right tactics and the right understanding of the game.
Use sophisticated tactics to win
In 1v1 you compete against other players in online mode and try to defeat your opponent's hero using your deck of cards. The player can adjust this at any time in the menu to suit his own playing style in order to go into the next battle with the right setup.
It's actually simple, but it becomes clear right from the start that the game offers an enormous amount of detailed depth. Be it the diverse abilities of the individual heroes or the large number of playable cards. This is fundamentally what this is about. They are needed not only to protect one's own hero, but also to attack and, in the best case scenario, to overthrow the enemy.
No matter whether with creatures or spells, there are various ways to approach and play the game. However, players should be warned as each move costs energy. This should never be lost sight of during the game, as each card played uses a different amount of energy.
The player then receives rewards for completed rounds. As befits a competitive game, these are purely cosmetic in nature and have no influence on the gameplay. Also very cool: top tier players can even unlock unique card images.
Game remains free
According to Fobia, the developers of this indie game, the game will remain available for free on Steam even after the early access period. When the game is fully released, players can also look forward to new trading mechanisms and an improved, Elo-based ranked system. New game modes such as “Brawl” and “Hardcore” are also on the program.
