The Unlock! series has been around for eight years now, and there's no end in sight. In 2023, the tenth Game Adventures box set received a well-deserved special award at the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) awards.. We've now reached the 14th box set (although Risky Adventures, which is the 13th box set, hasn't been released in German yet), and it doesn't seem like they're running out of ideas for good escape games. I've been working my way through the three newest adventures.
With the exception of the latest Short Adventures and the Star Wars Adventures, I've played all the Unlock! cases. I like many of them quite a lot. I've compiled my personal top list since the release of the Game Adventures. Here Compiled two years ago. All the adventures from the 11th box set have a chance of making this top 10. "Restart" is fantastic, "Hollywood Confidential" is one of the best mystery stories in the series, and "WUFF's Odyssey in the Barking Room" would be my favorite case in the most difficult category if the same puzzle weren't repeated several times at the end.
The sequel, "Supernatural Adventures," was rather disappointing. Nova City was creatively implemented and entertaining, Día de los Muertos was merely below average, and Ragnarök is the only adventure I've abandoned so far.
So I was very curious to see in which direction the Unlock! series would develop. Does it include... Enchanted Adventures More great escape room cases, or are the creators slowly running out of creativity?
Kilea's Wrath: The simplest and weakest case of the box
The hope that the Enchanted Adventures Hopes that it would be better than its predecessor were dashed by the very first case. As inhabitants of a volcanic island, we must find a way to appease the deity Kilea before her eponymous wrath triggers a volcanic eruption.
Here, we gradually explore the island, build a map of it, and of course, solve puzzles along the way. But the volcano never quite ignites. For me, the easiest cases are most compelling when they offer a creative story and unusual puzzles. Both of these are missing in this game. Kilea's anger Unfortunately, in vain.
The story is quite banal and offers nothing surprising, funny, or otherwise memorable. The puzzles (especially the map-based ones, which appear very frequently and are not at all to my taste) are more annoying than entertaining. The app is severely neglected, so in the end, you only get a mediocre case to start the box set.

Chaos at the fair: Simply fun!
Everything that I... Kilea's anger Fortunately, the missing item is available at [website/store name]. Chaos at the fair. Supported by the magnificent artwork of Apolline Etienne (Living Forest, Power Plants), this game brings the vibrant atmosphere of a fairground to life. The initial goal of collecting four badges to secure the grand prize transforms over the course of this delightful story – not entirely surprising, but nonetheless highly entertaining.
The gimmick with the blowpipe and the app is brilliantly integrated. The puzzles are varied, and you're constantly searching for a creative solution. It's one of those cases you can easily breeze through at a comfortable pace, and you'll find yourself chuckling every time you solve another puzzle with a seemingly absurd, yet logical, solution.
As is so often the case, the medium difficulty level is the best in the box.

The Curse of Camelot: Challenging yet always easy to understand.
After one very good and one mediocre case, it was now up to the most difficult case in the box to decide what the overall impression of all three adventures would be.
Normally, I'm quite taken with Unlock! adventures based on existing narratives and stories. Experiencing familiar elements from a different perspective always works very well and is also significantly more immersive than, for example, in a... EXIT Lord of the Rings.
So while there aren't any real surprises in the story, that makes it... The Curse of Camelot Elsewhere, it more than makes up for it. The puzzles are once again very varied, and the app integration is superbly implemented in this adventure. You use the app by far the most of all three adventures here, with many different applications. This keeps the puzzles wonderfully varied, both digitally and in person, while maintaining a very pleasant level of difficulty. For a case in the difficult category, this adventure is actually closer to the medium category.

Overall, with the Enchanted Adventures So, a very successful overall package. People who are familiar with the type of puzzles found in Kilea's anger Some people might be able to make more sense of it than I can, and might even find this case a bit better, so that Unlock! Enchanted Adventures after a brief slump from the Supernatural Adventures can raise the level back to its usual high standard.
Unfortunately, the page mentioned in the instructions doesn't contain any solutions to the three cases, and the previous box is still not available there either. This website really needs an update.
