GTA 6 is now scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. This is a shame, especially for those fans who are really looking forward to the game. The delayed release is a major disappointment. Grand Theft Auto But ultimately, no: Rockstar Games has never been in a particular hurry, and their success confirms the developer's strategy. As they stated on Platform X, they intend to use the additional months to fine-tune the game to the level fans expect and deserve. Rockstar Games is making it clear: it's all about quality. Because the games market has changed, quality at launch is more important than ever: A faulty release will always be a blemish on a game, even if development teams gradually fix the flaws after release, perhaps even eliminating them eventually. With GTA 6, this is precisely what needs to be avoided. And Rockstar Games clearly knows this. The formula is simple: Patches help; but not needing patches would be better.
