On its 70th birthday, the Spielwarenmesse, from January 30th to February 3rd, is looking to the future: buyers and specialist dealers can expect changed product groups, informative special shows and lots of know-how for their day-to-day business on the 170.000 m² NürnbergMesse site. You will meet 2.886 exhibitors from 68 countries, with the international share increasing from 75% in the previous year to 76%.
New hall structure and lectures
The new electronic toys product group is arriving just in time for the anniversary edition. It includes robots, RC toys, virtual games, and electronic educational toys. The largest move brings the model railways and model making departments together. In addition, the Spielwarenmesse with the product group of festive items, carnival and fireworks is the most important meeting point for all well-known suppliers, which is why the segment is being expanded.
Trade visitors refresh their industry know-how in the Toy Business Forum. National and international experts give lectures on changing topics of the day. A new visitor offer are the LicenseTalks in the Toy Business Forum on the subject of licenses.
“With our activities for the 70th toy fair, we would like to say thank you to all participants for their loyalty over the years. At the same time, we show foresight and ensure that our quality event stands for a promising industry.”
Ernst Kick, Head of Exhibition
The three trends of the Spielwarenmesse are staged with the corresponding products: "Ready, Steady, Play!" combines movement with fun and encourages children to be active. "The WOW Effect" is a toy with a surprise effect, the true content of which only becomes apparent when playing. The products related to the "Toys 4 Kidults" trend are real eye-catchers or collectibles that also inspire the adult world.
As a birthday highlight, all trade fair participants come together at the ToyFestival - a relaxed get-together with music and culinary delicacies.
